Campo Italiano

The Italian American Cultural Club's mission is to "Keep the Culture Alive" and we cannot think of any finer example than our own Campo Italiano in doing so. Each year, the Italian American Cultural Club hosts this program as a five-day, day camp for children in Elementary-School grades to learn the Italian Language, Culture, and History.

Each year, Campo Italiano is designed with a different theme, all celebrating different regions of Italy and what they may be known for, including their agricultural program, manufacturing, food, notable Historic Figures, and much more. Each day, children are taught the basics of the Italian Language and Culture, all the while adding in the lessons that have to do with the theme of the yearly camp.

Children attend Campo Italiano on very low investment and the Registration Fee includes a daily lunch for the children, their learning materials and supplies, and their Camp T-Shirt. Registration Fees are set by the Board of Directors of the Italian American Cultural Club and is listed on that year's application form. Registration Fees account for about 25% of the Campo Italiano Budget, the remainder is provided through the fundraising efforts of the Italian American Cultural Club.
