Legend has it that La Befana was asked by the Three Wisemen to assist them in finding the Baby Jesus after his birth on Christmas Day. La Befana, a Good Witch, said that she had to continue cleaning in lieu of helping them. Regretting this decision, La Befana started searching for the Three Wisemen again and for the Baby Jesus, never finding him. Still looking to this day, La Befana travels Italy on the Eve of the Epiphany, bringing gifts to the children of Italy.
This event sponsored by the Italian American Cultural Club for children educates them about La Befana, the children bring the gifts that the Wisemen brought to Jesus themselves in the Church's Nativity Scene, have lunch, and complete a Craft Activity.
This event is free to attend, however Reservations are required to adequately prepare for the attendees. Meals are provided for the children and adults may purchase…
