Today, as we stand a century strong, we honor our past and embrace our future with bold celebrations that reflect the vibrant spirit of our ancestors and our modern community. Join us as we commemorate a century of resilience, passion, and the enduring beauty of Italian culture—an enduring legacy that continues to thrive, inspire, and unite us all.

Join the Italian American Cultrual Club as we celebrate 100 years of "Keeping The Culture Alive" with Cent'anni: 100th Anniversary Gala on Sunday, May 18, 2025!

WHAT: Cent'anni: 100th Anniversary Gala

WHEN: Sunday, May 18, 2025; Doors Open at 4:00 PM & Program/Dinner Begins at 4:30 PM

WHERE: St. Florian Hall by Undo's Catering; 286 Luray Drive, Wintersville, Ohio 43953

TICKETS: Must be pre-purchased either by reservation form that may have been mailed to you or via our website at www.iaccsteubenville.org. Tickets are $75.00 per person and include entry to the event, a buffet meal, and an available cash bar.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE EVENING

- We will feature our Campo Italiano children with a special song and dance presentation. 

- Live Entertainment by The Cavaliers of Pittsburgh. 

- Special guests and video presentations throughout the evening.

Steubenville Italian American Honor Guild Inductees

We will induct five individuals into the newly formed Steubenville Italian American Honor Guild. Learn more about them below!

Rita Carapellotti

A proud first-generation Italian American, Rita Carapellotti is being honored for her extraordinary commitment to faith, family, and philanthropy. Co-founder of the Michael B. Carapellotti Charitable Foundation, she has supported transplant families, organized hurricane relief efforts, and championed her Italian heritage through cultural traditions and community service. A board member of Trinity Health System and recipient of the Founders Day Award from Franciscan University, Rita now joins the Italian American Honor Guild and is a candidate for the Spirit of Italia Award.

Francesca Carinci

A lifelong advocate for justice, culture, and community, Francesca Carinci brings passion and pride to her Italian American roots. Raised on South Street in Steubenville, her heritage is a blend of traditions from Rome, Sicily, Lombardy, and Giuliano Di Roma. As the first woman in Jefferson County licensed to defend capital murder cases, Francesca’s legal career spans decades, serving as an attorney, magistrate, educator, and community leader. Her deep civic engagement includes leadership in church, local festivals, and historic restoration projects. Honored for her service, Francesca remains devoted to her faith, family, and vibrant Italian heritage—forever Italian at heart.

Ed Laman

A lifelong resident of the Steubenville-Wintersville area, Ed Laman has dedicated his life to public service, law enforcement, and community. A retired Chief of Police for Wintersville and a certified instructor for the Ohio Police Officers Training Academy for nearly five decades, Ed’s impact on local safety and education is profound. Deeply proud of his Italian heritage, Ed honors family traditions passed down from his grandparents who immigrated from Italy. He continues to serve his community through teaching, volunteerism, and active involvement in cultural and civic organizations. Ed exemplifies the spirit of heritage, service, and family.

Domenick Mucci

A devoted public servant and proud Italian American, Domenick Mucci Jr. served the City of Steubenville for 36 years, including 25 as Mayor. He also led the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce and Regional Planning Commission, securing major grants for community development. Deeply rooted in his Italian heritage, Domenick founded the Dean Martin Memorial Celebration and has been active in numerous civic and cultural organizations. His life reflects a deep commitment to service, tradition, and the people of Steubenville.

Reno Saccoccia

A Steubenville native and legendary coach, Reno Saccoccia has led the Big Red football program since 1983, becoming the winningest coach in Ohio high school football history. Known for building champions on and off the field, he emphasizes discipline, teamwork, and character. A graduate of Steubenville High School and Franciscan University, Coach Saccoccia has spent decades shaping lives and inspiring a community through his unwavering commitment to tradition and excellence.
